On a muggy early spring evening, in the small rural town of Augusta, Nova Scotia, something begins to stir in the soil. Within days, pets vanish, livestock is found stripped to the bone, and people begin to go missing. As local Police Chief Vincent Fraser and his team investigate the tragic events, they discover what appear to be unusually large June bugs. Their discovery is more chilling than anyone could imagine, as the June bugs haven’t just mutated, but they’re evolving, and developing a taste for human flesh.

Grace Wright came to live with her aunt in the small town of Kent, following the tragic loss of her parents. Hoping for a fresh start, while adjusting to rural town living, the last thing she expected was a spectral killer dressed as the local high school mascot, targeting the young people of the town. Reliance on technology, and instant communication in the palm of our hand begs the question, what happens when the only way to call for help, is to scream... and hope someone is listening.
